Default Ok to get pacesetters?

I want to get some pacesetter headers. Basically b/c of the price and I haven't heard anything really negative about them. Some clearance issues I heard if you get there y-pipe. Drop me some feeback. I want to order at set in a week or two. I also need to know what y-pipe are you guys using or just getting one custom made after the headers are on.

I just put mine on last night and went to the muffler shop this morning to have a bullet put in my loudmouth. The only problems is the Y-pipe and you got to cut the K-member on the driver side.

So where did you get your deal from? How are the headers doing for you? Any problems installing?

Default pacesetter

Yea i think the pacesetter LT's are a good deal. People will tell you that some other headers will have a little more HP and some will have a little less. Im looking at my bill and i bought my coated LT's form TSP for $330.99 back on 9/23/03. They are the coated ones.. But i will tell you this.. If i had to do it again i would "NOT" get the ORY-pipe. The money i spent on the ORY and the money i spent at the local muffler shop i could have had the Y pipe fabricate better... So keep in mind on that.. But yea.. More then likely you will have to cut a small notch out of your K-member...These LT's are known for that.. I loosened my driver side motor mount (just loosened) and jacked the motor up towards the passenger side and it slid right in..Some guys will tell you to grind a knot of the block but i dont think have to. It might even lean enough to the passenger side to get in when you jack the driver side up with out loosening up the drivers side mount.. Try it first. That was the only problem i had.. Only my .02 though.. Hope this helps... Let me know how it goes..

It had nothing to do with jacking the price because we wanted to, Pacesetter raised their prices considerably

exactly, if people are wanting more of it and they are so much cheaper then they can jack up prices, still be low compaired to everyone else and make tons of money off it. i would still buy them at this price though and texas-speed is awesome! i love those guys, great customer service! i got the wrong headers, forgot who i talked to but there were no questions asked, they said send em right back and they will get the next ones out to me....how is that for service lol i kept em though i didnt wanna wait for the next shipment, so im just dealin with having the emission tubes i go to texas speed before i go anywhere else for parts.

Yea, after i put the headers on and everything the last thing i had to do was bolt on the egr and air emissions. well, Pacesetter built some wrong headers for the f-bodys and well i got one of those. The driver side was fine but the passenger side was all messed up. The EGR & air would not match up for ****. So, Matt from TSP said they would send me the right one and replace the passenger side header (which is a bitch) or tear out the air emissions and EGR alll together.. Well, i did that instead of replacing the header. Well, he knew it was going to throw a code so he said to send them my PCU and they will delete the code.. So, customer service is bad *** if you ask me from TSP..

Hope they are going to pay for shipping?

When did they raise the price and by how much? What about the ones you guys already have in stock, or are those gone already?? https://ls1tech.com/forums/sponsor-sales-specials/127199-pacesetter-long-tube-headers-back-stock.html

Just wondering if i need to go ahead and grab a set now even if i am not ready to put them on the car yet. Shoot me a PM and let me know.

THANKS!

66-72C2256 PaceSetter Coated Long Tube Headers, RACE LS1 F-Body No-Smog $374.99

That is the price I see right now. I would like to order within a week or two. Hope this the price when I place my order. To be up front there are other great headers out there and if Pacesetters jump up to the 500 range just for the header I'd have to start researching again as to what header I will get.
