PVC Routing w/aftermarket intake
I need to help a friend of mine out with his oil consumption problem. It is a 70 chevelle with a LS1. It has a thunder racing 230 cam, headers and an aluminum aftermarket intake on it. The motor was rebuilt and has about 1500 miles on it runs strong. It is using a quart every 400 miles, i think he is running 10w30 non synthetic. I believe his problem is in the PVC system or lack of it. Right now there is a vacuum line going from the left side of the TB to the passenger valve cover. The nipple on the drivers valve cover is capped. I was planning on having him get a universal pcv valve with hose barbs on both ends. pick up vacuum from the back of the intake and run it to the capped nipple on the drivers valve cover. Does this sound right or is there a better way to get a working pvc system going. Not looking to put in a catch can or ls6 mods yet. Any help or pictures would be greatly appreciated.
