Default Radiator Options

I've been looking around on the forum to find different brands of radiators that I can put on my 02 SS without much luck. My stock one is leaking so I'd like to come across a new one. I've been reading a bit about the LT1 radiators being used on the LS1. What are the advantages of the LT1 radiator over the LS1? Anyone have any insight?

Thanks.

The LT1 radiators are a little thicker than the LS unit

Noticeably thicker and cools much better (both engine & trans) compared to the LS1 radiator. I switched to one 3 years ago with no problems.

Here is a pic comparing the two cores.

Thanks for the info guys.. I'll definitely see if I can pick up an LT1 radiator.. might be able to get it a little cheaper than a replacement LS1 radiator as well..

Default 2 " thick core All Alum Rad.

This is what I went with. Had to modify the top plastic piece for the larger tanks. Other then that, fit like a glove and no problems.

Suppose to be made in his shop somewhere up around Chicago.

Pretty nice piece.. I'll probably end up going with the LT1 radiator since it's a little cheaper but thanks for the info though. Hopefully this thread will help someone out in the future looking for a one.
