I figured this would be an appropriate place for this question as it deals with exhaust. Looking to mock up some exhaust and need a welder to use simply for tacking. I don't need anything special at all, just something simple, easy to use, that I can tack some headers, x-pipe, etc etc. What would you suggest? Thanks!

I would suggest visiting your local Home Depot and picking up a Lincoln Welder. They're relatively cheap and easy to use. You will also want to pick up shielding gas from your local welding supply shop.

For that, I'd say the cheapest 110V flux cored wire gun
you can find.

I've got one of those and subsequently haven't pulled
the big MIG out in years. But have used the cheapo
plenty, including welding up the K-member on-car.
