I'd like to test my LQ4 before dropping it in my car.

I have a few concerns about the accessories.

Is it safe to run Steering box with no steering fluid in it and no hoses attached?

Is a basic Freight&Harbour engine stand enough or should I secure the engine with a cherry picker or something else?

What else should I take care of?

I'm almost done rebuilding the engine, anyone got a link on how to build a engine test bench.

Can I build a metal frame and bolt it to the holes in the side of the block?

Any experience about that is welcome
