Default TPS issue

At idle with a constant 0.5 volts to the TPS, my computer is seeing various TPS readings. Sometimes 0%, sometimes 5%, sometimes even 12%! Yet the voltage never changes. My tuner hasn't seen it before. I was wondering if this is likely the TPS sensor itself, possibly the wiring, or am I even looking at replacing the ECU?

I'd rather not just replace everything if there is some way to correctly diagnose it.

Just had the same problem and some surging. I never had the car running long enough to see what actually happened. I finally got my fans going properly and was datalogging. My tps did the same thing then settled at 14% after it fully got warm. I disconnected the tps and watched it go down to 0 and behave at idle. Plugged it back in and the same thing again. Bought a new tps sensor and the new one was spring loaded. Put it in and no more problems......

Sounds very similar.. a new TPS is pretty cheap, I'll throw one on and see what happens!
