Throttle body open to much throwing code
I know what the code is, (forgot the name of it) but I always get it whenever I go WOT and I know it's from the throttle body being open more then stock. Question I have is, does this affect performance at all? I have a pp adjustable tb that came with my ls6 intake, so I've been meaning to adjust it to just not have the code thrown when I go WOT but I'm curious if it has any effect or is it just a light that comes on basically.

Its not from opening more than stock its for the bump stop being cut too much and the blade opening more than the 90 degree fully open position, basically your blade is starting to close in the opposite way.
I have a ported throttle body with the bump stop mod and have not had this code in the 2-3 k miles its been on my car
I do not know if the car runs diff because of the code or how you can fix the throttle body, im sure you can find an alt plan to replacing it somehow.
This is most likely what it is however it might be something else, hope maybe this might be of some help

As 86 said, odds are your TB had the bump stop ground just a bit to far. It won't cause any serious problems, but it could be altering airflow a bit now that you are above 90 degrees.
Probably not something worth replacing, but an ODB2 scanner to delete the SES light when it comes on wouldn't hurt.
Without the actual code though, this is just a guess.

you can use a little bit of epoxy or jb weld to build up your bump stop... if you put too much on it you can sand it down to where it needs to be... it might be easier and cheaper to do that then replacing the tb

wtf for the 3rd time does anyone read this? lol my tb is ADJUSTABLE. So im just going to move it up a notch so it doesn't open as much that isn't the main thing I wondered about. I wanted to know if throwing that code when the tb is open to much does anything performance wise?
