header problems
The car makes this hissing sound coming from the headers. The car doesn't sound clean... it sounds like an old car. Does anybody know what is causing this and how to fix it? Should I check my sparkplug, o2's?
Also, my check engine light comes on every once in a while. I took it to the dealer and they said it's caused by the exhaust and it's affecting the o2. I don't think it's caused by the exhaust... probably the headers. Is my O2 not working properly?

Properly installed headers will not cause an SES light to appear.
It may take a few 100 miles for your PCM to learn the new exhuast flow,
Reset the PCM,
I wouldn't even have gone to the Dealer, waste of time
They didn't give me the code.
The headers do not pass emissions.
Regarding proper installation, my gut feeling tells me that something may not be right. I may have to have it re-checked.
Also, my fuel pump just went out for the second time in 1 week. I just tried starting the car a little while ago and the car won't start. Damn, this is the second time... the dealer replaced the fuel pump just today! Do you think the headers and fuel-pump incident is related?
