Default MSD Coil packs

I am putting together a 2002 Camaro with a stroker lq4 in it and I was just wondering does anyone know if the msd coil packs are really that much better than the stock coil packs?? Because if they are not I dont really wanna spend 6 to 7 hundred dollars on them.

the msd coils are junk as many people have trouble from them and will gain you nothing over stock ls1 or stock truck coils

I have to agree with all the above.

MSD packs are junk. I know a lot of people including myself who have had trouble with their plug wires too.

Most everyone on this site will suggest the d585 truck coils over anything else, especially MSD coils.... Its a shame too cuz MSD used to be known for it quality products...

not trying to hijack, but what issues are you having with the wires? They don't seem to fit "right" IMO. They go on, they sorta make that "clip on" sound, but they just don't feel on their good/tight?

Well I had fitment problems.

I know of a couple of others who had different problems. One with misfires cured by going back to stock wires. Another had 1 arrive dead in the box when shipped to him.

As someone pointed out their QC has just gone down hill. They used to be known as the best and to many still are sadly.
