All of the straps that I've seen have been of the "ghetto homemade" variety. There were a couple of old threads where guys used ratcheting tie-down straps. I think they hooked the engine cross member to the alternator bracket. . .

if you're trying to keep the motor from bouncing around you should try the poly motor mounts. i put one on just the drivers side and the motor now sits almost completely still with no noticable vibrations added. it was a great mod IMO. if you want some more info on the torque straps that people have used do a search in the drag racing forum. i found some info there before i put in the motor mounts.

I once stripped the 430 motor out of an old Buick
Wildcat. This critter had a torque strap that was
kinda factory-ghetto-cute. Basically a steel cable
with those swaged clamps on it, and two 1/4"
formed steel loops; one bolted to the upper A-
arm, one to the exhaust manifold bolts. It might
be a way to go, do the same but use the strut
tower and exhaust (longer bolt or stud, they used
those combo bolt/stud/nut bolts that GM hung
iron-block accessories with.

You could get a coated cable swaged to length at
a better-grade hardware store, etc. The end keepers
you'd probably have to cobble but this is not much
of a challenge.

Just a thought.
