Catch can or breather?

Catch can or breather? I am currently running a catch can from my valve cover to my pcv. i have aftermarket vavle covers so this is the only thing bleeding off pressure from my crank. My engine builder told me to just run a breather and block off the pcv on the intake. Any opions on this?
I have right now an ls6 valley cover w/ pcv running to the intake with a catch can in between and a line running from the passenger valve cover to the throttle body. This seems to be the recommended setup on this board..
