"Hose" that connects to the lid Question
I've just picked up a '02 camaro, I used to have a '98. I was about to put my whisper lid on from the '98, but I noticed a hose that connects to the stock lid.
I was just wondering what this hose is for exactly, and if I really need it. Also, how exactly would I go about fitting this "hose" onto my whisper lid. I see there is a hole that is capped off on the lid, but how can I get this on there with an air tight connection?
I'm sure several have had this problem. Let me know the best ways you have used to either connect or remove this "hose".

Here ya go, a pic from someones SS that still had the stock setup. Its a connecter with a rubber grommet and a plastic tube. You dont have to put it back this way, some just slap a small filter on the end of the hose and tuck it away.

you should be able to pull the cap off, use a grommet or fitting or whatever and plug the hose in. Or get a little breather filter and plug it straight onto the hose and tuck the hose away somewhere, and leave your lid the way it is.
