Default LS6 exhaust manifolds?

Do the LS6 manifolds flow better than LS1's? I have an LS6 crate motor that I am putting in a 57 chassis-modified with C4 suspension www.carcreationsinc.com and was told that the driver's side hits the rack and pinion.I'd like to use the SS truck 6.0 manifold on the driver's side which has LS6 heads.Does anyone know if these manifolds would flow the same?

I am not positive, but I think the Manifold themselves flow the same between the '02 F-bods and the '02+ Vettes. Please do not quote me on this. I do know that the '02+ Z06 Exhaust system (full system: Manifolds, cats, intermediate & rear section) is capeable of supporting 400 RWHP in stock form. I have seen dynos of 390 RWHP with stock exhaust and internally stock (just bolt-ons) on '02+ Zs.

The cast mainfolds 00 & up for the F-bodies flow very well.

I'd use whichever fit your car better.

Thanks Street&Performance makes a set of shortie headers for my 57,but I'd rather use exhaust manifolds. I'll have to take a look at 6.0 SS truck manifolds and see if they are similar to the LS6's.

The Z06 exhaust manifolds are a Tri-Y design and look like they would flow great. They do exit in the standard vette location so they wont fit an fbody. I have a set here if you would like some pictures. Just let me know. I am not planning on using them.

Default Kooks!

Thanks guys, I probably go with a set of custom headers from KOOKS since I live nearby.
