Default Coolant catch can

Made my own coolant catch can does anyone know if it should be vented or not? need to know asap!!

Why do you need a coolant catch can?

If there is a leak in your cooling system...I think your better off fixing the leak rather than trying to 'catch' the coolant.

OP, just wanna say, have a badass set-up im almost thier, need the 9inch and track wheels and intake. what u run? Im cam only hopin for some 11.6s with FLT Level 4, SS4000, 4.10s and alot of suspension and bolt ons. Suspension is UMI Tunnel Mount TA, UMI Sub-Frames, Spohn Adj. LCAs, Spohn Adj panhard rod, front sway! Sweet ride, and whats the point of the catch can? Hows that 4-point workin 4 u? Custom? I was lookin at a 6-point Wolfe.

Lol theres no leak catch can or over flow call it what u want I mounted my trans cooler Dope style w a fan on it and the factory over flow tank was in the way and the batt is relocated to the rear so we fab a alum overflow coolant can to fit where the batt was...

Well took the car to the track last night and went 12.1@113mph......1/8 was 93mph 60 ft was 1.68 leaven at 2k ft braken it AND THE STUPID NEW TH400 thats supposed to hold 900HP was slippin horrible in first and as the night went on ran 12.1 and my 1/4 mph dropped all the way down to 110!!! I know first is slippin bad and Im sure 2nd and 3rd are also...read one post up to read about overflow can, First time iv had the car to the track since iv owned it so for not haven a good trans im shooting for mid 11s and a nicer 60ft Hope the trans shop backs the warrenty!!! Thx for the compliments on the car its been a long fight getting it this far was hopping it was good to go now..
