Picture Gallery, halfway through a major overhaul
The car in question is a 2000 Z28. It already had:
- Lid
- Pacesetter Longtubes
And here's what I'm installing:
- SSRA (w/ K&N Filter)
- Ported Throttle Body (w/ Coolant Bypass)
- Whisper Ported MAF Ends
- LS6 Intake Manifold (w/ Fuel Rail)
- LS6 28.8# Injectors
- MS3 Cam (w/ TSP Pushrods and PAC 1518 Springs)
- SLP 25% UD Pulley
- LS6 Oil Pump
- LS2 Timing Chain
- 160 Thermostat
- LS6 Clutch (w/ Flywheel, Throw-Out Bearing, and Pilot Bearing)
- New Slave Cylinder
- Tick Remote Speed Bleeder
- Rear Main Seal
- LPP True Duals
- Eibach Pro Kit Springs
- SLP Bilstein Shocks
- EBC Ultimax Brake Rotors
- EBC Red Stuff Brake Pads
With my father's expertise and shop, we dropped the motor & tranny and began the work.
We found the pilot bearing & throw-out bearing were total junk, and the input shaft on the transmission was wiped out. We're in the process of trying to replace the input shaft & bearing but not quite sure we'll be able to do it without a tranny expert.
Nonetheless, we did everything else... washed the entire front end, blasted & painted the headers... it's almost ready to go back together, as soon as we figure the tranny out.
