My uncoated Hookers are totally rusted but I bet they don't rust thru for another 5-10 years at least. I drive it every day, but there isn't much salt or snow here, just moisture. I bought the Hookers because they were the first cheap LT's to come out over a year ago, and am still happy I got them uncoated.

Actually Rob ('MidnightZ') has a small lift in his garage, I bet with a few guys helping it could be done, but most likely I'll have CARTEK install them if I even get headers at all LOL.

Given how much the pacesetter LT/ORY rubs/knocks, it will probably rust quickly, then the rust from the rub points will spread to the body and eat up your kmember and floorboard...
(im being sarcastic, but somewhat truthful).

After having several sets of headers coated and uncoated, letting your car sit is the absolute worst thing to do to uncoated headers, especially if your only planning on 2k miles a year, they will be gone in no time.Save your money and get the stainless with the coating, unless you like putting headers on again and again.

I would never buy coated headers. Usually its only a thin layer of coating. Buy bare ones and have them coated. If you drive you car daily then non coated will hold up for many years. Like someone else said, its when they sit when they rust bad. Also did i hear that they coat stainless headers??? That is pretty much worthless. I've only used stainless on turbo cars, it works better with the heat. No need for them on a N/A motor.
