the blade sticking is what I meant, you'll just have to find where its rubbing by putting a thin layer of grease or something then sand where it rubs off

I recommend GM White fuel injectors they are rated 42lb with 58psi fuel pressure.

Also they are good up to 650hp according to Katech.

Lastley Katech is selling them for $239.00 a set.

Hopefully mine won't stick...or is this a issue with all of them?

Thanks for the input. I think I might be ordering a C5-R timing chain from them so I will inquire.

Your best bet is to ditch that LS6 and run the FAST. sell your LS6 intake for more mods. eventually you will add heads and will need a fast anyways. so keep the fast and ditch the LS6 intake.

After looking at My Fast TB real close, the blade seems to have good clearance. So I'm thinking I should be ok. So does anyone have a link or suggestions as to where I can pick up a C5-R timing chain from?

Hell no, don't sell the FAST. Even if you think you'll be done modding after this, you won't be.

Not IF, but WHEN you realize you need more hp, you'll be glad you stayed with the FAST, as it'll really allow a good set of heads to shine.

put the 90/90 on your car and enjoy the extra 15 horses..if you decide to get heads later the 90/90 will be even more valuable..and yes you will need at least some 30# injectors.. but i would go with 42# so you have room to grow..goodluck

I think you could hold off on the injectors for right now if money is tight. The 28.8#'s you have, 2001-2002, should be good to about 410-420rwhp on a M6. 42#s are definately overkill and would be harder to tune. Just shoot for a duty cycle around 80-85%.

The Fast should gain something around 5hp over the ls6 but will really help if you decide to get some heads and then you could throw some 36# injectors on there as well when it comes time for that.

well since you already have the fast use it, as much as i think its an over rated piece of plastic. sell the ls6 and use the money else where. if you were thinking of buying a fast i would throw my opinion out there and tell you to use your money on a different aftermarket intake w/ port matched tb, have it ported, and still be less then a fast by itself let alone a port matched tb with it, and be close to the same numbers as the fast out of the box. the ls6 intake was designed for the stock 243 heads, and the ls6 cam and nothing more, it lops off air flow at around .575 lift so it will restrict your cam let alone any other future mods such as better flowing heads. the fast 90/90 is hands down the best flowing intake out of the box but i cant see paying a grand for a set up just for the rep or name, plus if you run sort of boost or nitrous it will crack iether from too much pressure or nitrous backfire. dont have to worry about that with an aluminum intake...

camz28arro, WTF ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!!! the stock injectors on my cam only car which made 410 at the wheels was beyond max duty cycle. i needed 36ers just for the minimum, mind you, you have to base your injector size on bhp or the hp at the crank. so get your WHP and multiply it by 18% mechanical parasitic loss for a stock clutch, stock tranny, stock rear, stock wheels M6 and then add that to your whp and that is your crank hp. for an A4 its around 24% loss. i would say 15% for a lightened flywheel, but you get the picture of the variables. 36# inj can support about 530 crank hp @ 80% duty cycle at 58 psi, 42# inj can support about 620 crank hp at 80% and at 58 psi. it also depends on your elevation also as to how much fuel your engine needs in order get the most power. for example, if you get a tune in denver and drive to the ocean you are going to be running extremely lean since your fuel trims were tuned for the thinner air in denver or if you get a tune in san diego and you drive to denver, you are going to be running very rich.

as for a c5-R timing chain, look at katech performance, they built, tested, and raced the c5-R's

Looks like I will be getting some 36# or 42# injectors. What's your opinions on a ported LS6 oil pump? I figured mine would be ok since it has under 30K on it.

Thanks for the help and suggestions fellas

if your not running a cam or anything you don't really need the timing chain or oil pump. Wait to put those on until you have a cam and all the rest of the **** so its a 1 job deal. It'll save you money.

Install the FAST intake, sell the LS6 intake..... Let that new cam breath, you won't be sorry you did. You already spent the money on it might as well use it and enjoy the extra HP.
