i need new mufflers
Im trying to find a good sounding muffler that is deep and mellow, would still complement my cam, with out any anoying interior sound, and when you get it on it is not raspy, but when sitting still it still makes people look.Right now i have pacesetter LTs ran into 2.5 custom pipeing no cats with no x or h pipe(true duals) that go into 12" bullet muffler. It sounds great at an idle. But when you get on it it sound like one of my farm trucks. Also the interior noise is killing me.I plan on keeping the bullet muffler to act like resonators there in the middle of the car. Also will a X pipe change the way my cam sounds since it blends the exhuast note? Thanks guys i really apreciate it!

So i checked out the sweet thunders. The 18" are sound like what i got now.Im guessing since i dont want my car to sound like one of my farm trucks i should get the 24" or even the 30"?And would an X pipe help or would it mellow out my cam sound?

Do you have LTs?I have looked at the hooker areo chambers. From what i have read there really good mufflers. But i really like the way the sweet thunders sound.I guess im going for the exotic sound. But at idle i still want people to look and hear my cam.

I helped my buddy put an X-Pipe in place of his resonator on his GTO, and it made one hell of a difference. Even with no mufflers, it sounded way better, but still was raspy. After that, he put on some Spintech mufflers near the tips, it sounds pretty good, but I would have preferred some Sweet Thunder mufflers in there somewhere. I'm gonna drop my Y-pipe and cutout for an X-pipe and some Sweet Thunders soon..

I was told to move my 12 glasspacks that are kindda shot up front towards the collector in place of res. then merge into a X pipe then throw on some 18" sweet thunders and it will give me the sound im looking for??Does this sound corect?.Me and my wife drive my car everywhere but the damn exhaust i got now just gets old fast. And when i come home on mid tour leave we will be driveing from coastal GA to central OK.I really dont want something thats gonna beat me up on a 18hr drive.BTW i really apreciate all the help!!
