Default CTS-V vs. Z06 LS6

So, what is the difference? I finally have the motor for my 67 Camaro build.

An 04 LS6/T56 from a CTS-V.

Seems that several "bolt-ons" specify different part numbers for the two identical engines in different vehicles. These are not clearance issues either, soooooo
Just curious as to the actual differences between the two brother/sister/cousin engines.

I don't think there's much of a difference. I figured it was a different cam, maybe a couple other bolt-on type things. I figured the differences would be similar to the differences between an LS1 Vette and an LS1 Camaro/Firebird.

Interested to hear someone with the knowledge speak on this.

Nope no real difference except for th oil pan and pickup theyre the same engine the 5hp difference is probably just from the way the intake is configured theyre the same motor otherwise just like the ls1 in corvettes and camaros.
