Lost Spark Plug
Lost Spark Plug I was changing the spark plugs on the driver side of my '02 TA. I dropped a new one while i was trying to screw it in by hand. Its sitting somewhere above the engine mount. I cant see it or figure out how to get to it. Does anybody have a good way of getting it.
The stock k-member is horrid for swollowing dropped items.
Jack the front end up (or roll it onto some ramps), climb under and start jamming your hand into uncomfortable places (better yet the small hands of a child or wife. I just can never convince either that helping is fun). Some pen magnets can help if they are strong enough to hold a spark plug and can flex a bit. Test it on some you just removed.

Probably 50%+ of f-bodies have bolts, screws and spark plugs stuck in the stock k-member. One of my oem plugs has been riding in there for 9 years. Can't reach it but it isn't hurting anything and doesn't make any noise so there it shall stay until one day when the motor swap or tubular k-member happens. Don't sweat it.
