A lot of guys run MSD, myself included

You can bend the boots to get them away from the headers. I've got 1 7/8" Kooks and the boots have never touch the primaries

MSD is good option
but If you use the wires AC Delco (OEM) or wires msd (OEM) is very little difference (gain)

With msd In the track you will gain 0.01tenth ....
if you install msd coils and wires, you will get better gain, unfortunately the price of msd coils is high

If you would do some reading on here you'll also find out that the guys that have run the MSD coils had trouble with them. You would be retarded to buy them when a set of stock coils (i.e truck coils) will perform the same at half the price

ive never had a prob with stock bosch replacments *knock on wood* ive used them on my other motor (408) but i eventually went to msd for the color but saw no gain. i could bend the boschs aswell for my headers which was ncie
but for what you'd pay for them at autozone you might as well spend the $20 more for the msd's since they look cooler.

When I did my header install I had not ordered plug wires yet and I acidentally pulled one of the stock wires apart. All I could get my hands on were autolites..... no problems so far.

I bought some Duralast ones from Autozone last night because I needed them quick, $30 bucks and they're working fine. Though red MSD wires would look cool though lol

So are the truck coils better then the factory coils on a ls1? I ask this because i have a set of OE truck coils just laying around collecting dust.

napa sells a nice set. lifetime warranty too! IMO a plug wire is a plug wire, not gunna see any gains between any of them.

MSD wires are good, they coil packs are garbage, unless you have moeny to burn don't waste your time on the coils at all

I don't plan on getting any coils i was just going to stay with stock but was wondering if the stock coils for a 6.0 truck are any better then the stock ls1 coils????

I think i am going to go with some mad wires any specific style i.e. core style???

I don't think they're really necessary for a stock-guts LS1.
