stock stat to hot or no
stock stat to hot or no I still have the stock stat in my car and was told it was running around 205-210 is this to hot. If so should i put a 160 or 180 stat in, would this make it run better, it seems once its warm the power dies some.
Its a 98 block with tourqer v3 and some bolt ons, with a 4000 stall so its always around 2800-3000 rpm around town

Stay with the 180 And tune the fans to come on early like 160. That shoud let u hover around 195 at Idle. You dont want the motor too cold because the pistons wont expand and seal right.
Put in a 160 t-stat and tune the fans to come on at around 175 (not sure what the exact best temp is to turn them on at). OR, don't do anything. The temperature it runs at stock is fine.
