Default 05' 5.3L Looking for big power

I have a 2005 Silverado with the 5.3l/automatic. I am looking to try and slowly get this thing to putting out between 550-600 horsepower. I would really like to get the truck to eventually be capable of running in the 10s on the track but also be streetable. The truck has 110,000 miles on it now.

I am looking for opinions and suggestions as to what I need to do or buy.

-Supercharger (brand)?
-Headers
-Injectors
-Exhaust
-what all internals need attention on the engine
-transmission upgrades
-heads
-anything else that I have missed

Thanks,
Brad

buy a bigger motor, seriously

The problem is the more power you have with smaller displacement makes it harder to keep good street manners. But if you have to do it with the 5.3L, you're going to have to go FI. You will have to do everything on your list, and then some. But like I said, if you're going to have to get forged internals, why not just put an iron block 408 in there? You should be able to make the power a lot easier that way. Contact one of the sponsors on the forum (ie Texas speed, vengeance racing, etc...) and they can help you out.

Give Vengeance Racing a call or send an email with the power your looking for and amount you want to spend and then go from there. Sales@vengeancerd.com or 678-513-7105
