Hey that’s my car. Some explanations;

That pic of the engine in my car is my 422 ARE blocked solid roller. In this current guise it makes 680hp at the flywheel with a linear power curve, just like a big late model motor bike. In other words it is very smooth and sweet to drive on the street.

8 Throttle body manifolds are like that. They have the ability to turn a big cam’d engine into an extremely smooth engine at idle and part throttle. The cam in this particular engine is 260/264 @.050” 108lsa and the engine makes peak power at 6,500rpm. It also idles pretty much like a stock engine at 900rpm. All tuned with a standard PCM and LS1Edit. Not too bad hey!

This intake design is a basic prototype and was originally put together for the testing of various runner lengths on the engine dyno with all types of head and cam combinations together with various cubic capacity combinations.

The intake is locally made, here in Australia by Sam at Sam’s Performance. In this prototype stage they are unbelievably cheap. That is, out of 8 + units installed and tuned for various applications, Sam hasn’t charged a cent as they are really only for close friends and guys who have dealt with Sam over the years with other race car stuff. In other words, they are not for sale. He’s the kinda guy who will never let anything out of the shop with a price, if he is not totally happy. Unusual these days, isn’t it.

The new series or phase II is well under way. They will include under bonnet filtration and I’m also tipping they may even fit the F’body, but we’ll see. They will also have different “tested” runner lengths for various engine applications.

As for the other pic of my car, the one with the big wheels…. That’s the LS1 powered race car I’m currently building. Vortech and their distributor down here, CAPA Performance, have supplied me with some great stuff as sponsors for this latest project. We’ll be looking at around 1,200 HP when it’s all complete. It should be a fun ride.

From N/A to Blown….. I love LS1’s.

Cheers

Pete.

Default Throttle Bodies

Hey Guys, Im from Australia, SAMS PERFORMANCE in Sydney has put that package together. I spoke to him two weeks ago, he is about two months away from a street package set-up with a cold air intake. I was looking at intakes for a 395 Lunati Stroker that im building. I Ordered the FAST 90mm intake and 90mm Throttle body. Im keen for more results to be posted on the forum.
