Default Is there a way to clean 02 sensors?

I took off my rear and they have just been sitting in my garage.

Now my fronts are bad, so I was gonna switch them out.

Can I clean the rear ones? Maybe I will shoot them with that canned air stuff you use to clean computers.

I've heard you can use a torch to clean them by heating the end up.
I wouldn't think compressed air would do much to clean them.

Never tried the torching method myself, new ones are $60 at AutoZone.

Good luck,

I guess a torch would be good, burn off the excess carbon, and built up **** on the end.

If there's not a ton of miles on them.. I'd just bolt them in.

I was always told to clean them with isopropyl-alcohol
a few of my RX7 friends have been doing it for years without problems
their O2's get dirty quick, cause rotary's typically burn oil like Oprah eats cheetos

That is what I did. Mine were black from running really rich. I sprayed them down with Brake Cleaner and wiped them off. They work fine...
