I would recommend Random Tech high flow cats. They are supposed to be the best quality aftermarket cats for LS1's. If your on a very tight budget you can get carsound cats for a lot less $$ but I heard they have had problems passing sniffer tests once they are a few years old. Might just be rumors but it's enough for me to want Random Techs on my car this summer when I get my LT headers installed.

Good Luck

I am going with carsounds. I don't need to pass the sniffer just the visual. The price difference is enough for me to by carsound.

I was told that Magnaflow cats were better then Random not
sure on Carsound. I talked to about 5 shops & online vendors
about Magnaflow, all had good things to say about them.
Kooks was one of them.

you'll want pt# 94106 for 2.5" inlet/outlet and 94109 for 3" inlet/outlet

i would go with some carsounds or something cheaper. I had a friend with random techs on his Z06 and the damn things blew out and shattered his O2 sensors. He drove it for 2 months and was pissed. Took him 2 months before he figured out why it was running like crap.

What about size? The ones in that link look huge? I recently bought some pacesetters and will have a custom y-pipe made with a flowmaster collector but, I want to add cats for sound quality. input please

What size is the Pacesetter off-road y-pipe. Do I need 2.5" or 3"?

Keep searching for Carsound/Magnaflow on ebay--you will find them for $31.50 each. Two shipped for under $90.

The ones in the link look big because they might be the 94000 series. The 94100 series is a shorter version of the 94000 series with the same coverage. I got the 94109's.

My recommendation is to move out of Cali.

I'd never live in a place where lack of emissions equpt. is actually taken seriously. That's BS.

The last time I had an "emissions legal" performance car was, well..... uh....hmmm,.... never? At least not in the last 8+ years or so.
