Default Massive exhaust leak..

I was out with some frnds yest n we came to a stop and there were a caddy cts and a new Lexus we raced and i spanked them both then we came to another stop and there my car sounds like a truck also today i noticed 500 RPM at idle when coming to a stop is that normal for a leaky exhaust? and is there anyway to locate the leak without getting the headers out? am pretty sure its the freaking 3 bolts flanges of the Y pipe..they suck! but i havent really check am too freaking tired am also using oem gm gasket...how about welding Y pipe to headers? or using some different type clamps? thanks

heres how my 3 bolt Y pipe flanges look like..

sorry for the crappy pics its from my phone and under car pics.

Turn on your car
Go under your car and listen for the leak, if there's one.
You can have a friend rev your car a bit while your under there.

Come on; it was a little funny.
EDIT- Not your situation, but what he said about the welds. It made me chuckle. I agree though- lay under the car and have someone rev it a little for you.
