Anyone know how to tell if an intake is actually an ls6 based on the casting number that is imprinted on it..its the larger set of numbers right above where the firing order is imprinted on the intake.

Just curious, I tried my parts guy at the local dealer and he can't make it happen, but I thought there was a way to determine what year the intake was made based on that.

oh yeah the number is 12560894 if anyone wants to look at their ls6 and see if that happens to be the same

 

there are several different casting numbers for the ls6 intake, anywhere from the 01-02 fbodies to the 01-04 z06's.
