CORSA vs MAGNAFLOW
you said like the sound of your current setup and your doing this to get some ponies, you gonna get maybe 5hp over your SS exhaust. not worth it imo.
stock t/a, z28 exhaust maybe 10-15. people were reporting 0-5hp gains between WS6/SS exhaust to a corsa on near stock cars.

A little more of a mean sound and an appearance upgrade were also a consideration in my decision. I thought a bigger pipe and the better muffler would result in more hp? I had an '84 Camaro before my 02SS and I bought a Dynomax catback with 3" intermediate and high flow muffler (2otl). That sounded mean but was not too loud at all and had no drone. That setup woke up that old 5.0 HO! Looked like *** though...

Unless you can find a good deal on a used one, skip the Corsa, save the money and buy a Magnaflow. If I were to spend that much money on exhaust it would be true duals or maybe a GMMG.

i had a magnaflow and personally hated it, it was fine for just bolt ons and LTs and ORY however after i put a decent sized cam in it, it sounded like i was cooking popcorn. i also had the system crack on me where the hangers attached and had the worst customer service getting it replaced under their "lifetime warranty"

Hooker isnt much different than magnaflow and its cheaply made as well. If your going to put out alot of money on an exhaust I would just do true duals over gmmg.
I have the corsa with lt's pacesetter y and no cats and love it-tips are the best looking for t/a's IMO. but the only reason i have it is because I got a deal on it. I would never pay that much for a cat-back. you could do full xhaust with lt's that FLOW for same$$$
i have magnaflow and lt's and love it, quiet till i dont want it to be. my buddy had a c5 with corsa, and i think it sounds horrible, and have had other people tell me that same, it sounds weird when shifting, like a burping... plus magnaflow gives better hp / tq numbers. my next set up id like to do true duals with mag's, but with corse clone tips ofcourse!

I have the Corsa and I like it. I ran it for about 2 years with an aftermarket Y-pipe and loved the sound. With the addition of stainless steel headers w/ the AHR Y W/ high flow cats it still has the original sound, magnified ~20%.
Magnaflow offers a system with Corsa-like tips now instead of the single wall "cannons". That is what I'm seriously looking at. Well Sundaydriver, I think my car is gonna look like yours soon...
