Yes, its normal. The version for the LT-1 had the inlet to the muffler on one side and both outlets on the other. The version for the LS-1 has the inlet right next to the outlet for the right side. Almost a straight through turn and why it's loud as hell at WOT. I thought it was kind of weird at first myself but got used to it. (shrug) Sounds good and flows really well. That's all I care about.

Just installed mine, sounds very tame. Nice tone, but can't even hear it while cruising. (I used to have a loudmouth with headers on my old car).

WOW! Yeah, its definatly going to be quieter! I like it because its not loud, but if you liked you're old set up, you wont like this. Nice flow and good tone, but she's not a screamer until WOT, but even then its a quiet exhaust compared to a car with headers and LOUDmouth.

I have the SLP Dual/Dual Catback and was thinking of getting the Magnaflow catback system. Will it be loader or about the same as the SLP? My goal is to make it loader but not as much as the loudmouth.

I haven't heard the dual dual, but the Magnaflow seems right about half as loud as a Loudmouth compared to stock.

The SLP Dual/Dual is what is on the Firehawks right? My Magnaflow is louder than the D/D, probably by about 25-35 % over stock. The Magnaflow is definatly more throaty.

Yes that is correct. SLP did put the D/D on my Firehawk. Do you know if a SLP Y-pipe will change the sound?
