Default Prof. Products intakes

I currently have a LS6 with a p&p tb on my 98 LS1 dull bolt on car and it was great but I just added a MS3 cam and stall and wanted more air but no a Fast 102 because of price and seems a bit much for a cammed LS 1. I was looking at the Prof. Products 85mm and 96mm intake and tb combo and was wondering if anyone has one and how it performs? I was planning on swapping my Granatelli Maf to a 85mm Z06 or 90mm LS2 to match the tb size better and my turner said the maf is easy but he has never used those intakes b4. Any info from someone who has or had one would be great.
Thanks,
Ryan

I was looking into this intake also but it seems like everyone is saying to go with a fast. I keep hearing about vacum leaks from the prof. prod.

There are two ways to get a vacuum leak with the Pro
Products manifolds. One is, buy a very old version and
use the green gaskets. Old, like more than a couple of
years; they updated the gaskets and sent me free ones
when I found mine were old style.

The other way is, keep the original valley cover bolts
instead of swapping to button-head screws like everybody
says. You can find the info on the proper ones if you look
for the various install threads. I got mine at BoltDepot.com

That's the great thing about the Internet, you can keep
hearing last year's news and propagating it as if it was
still relevant.

My PP 85/85 combo has been trouble free from the get-go.
I don't have the setup to need bigger. You might have
bigger plans.

I have the z06 and p&p TB myself and continually think about upgrading too. I keep telling myself to finish building the motor and then go back to the intake.

As far as Pro Products goes...if you're trying to save yourself some cash....look at doing something else instead of another intake. I would wait until I have the cash to throw out on the top of the line so then I don't have to continually wonder if I should've gone bigger.....not that bigger is better...but you know what I mean.

On the flip side...if you really want a pro products intake and am concerned about them sealing...don't sweat it...you'll be fine.

Just my opinion
