so is there any links to the blackwing or is this the same as the slp direct flow lid

I believe this is the lid here. It will also require the adapter neck to go from the oval outlet on the lid to circular for the maf, here. There are some other parts to go with it such as the clamps for the lid-adapter and adapter-MAF, and the AIR system tubing and mounting bracket if you need them. If you want the whole package including filter follow this link, but after adding up the price of the parts individually, it doesn't seem to make sense to purchase the whole thing together for $300????
But, I guess when you start adding up the shipping charges such as 7.95 to ship one hose clamp
the total may wind up close to $320 shipped for everything separate
I haven't run into a part number or link for the system even though the question has been asked before. Hopefully if I am wrong in thinking this is the "Blackwing" system someone will correct me before anyone buys the wrong thing

They go for that much???? Damn. I had the blackwing lid on my car and the boot connector broke so I replaced it with a TSP lid. Havent had any issues with it yet. So I have one sitting around minus the boot connector of course...

The $300 is for the lid plus the air filter. The lid by itself should be cheaper.

Yeah, but you are looking at $112 +$14 shipping on the lid, and and $46 + $10 shipping on the boot connector minimum. Add in a few buck for the necessary clamps, and either the tubing for the AIR system or a breather, and you are around $200. If you add up all of the individual parts, such as the AIR tube bracket, etc, plus the ridiculous shipping charges it is quite a bit more than most "high flow" lids on the market.Originally Posted by JESTERSS

I had the Whisper lid......crappy. The thing cracked after a year. I now have the Direct Flo lid and have had it for 3 years and no cracks.

I am surprised your ls1 motorsports lid cracked. Mine is beefy as hell. I replaced a Granatelli with it. The granatelli one was a POS cracked etc and very flimsy. The one from ls1 motorsports is a solid built lid.

I have one of these from fasttoys.net:

the bottum half:
http://www.fasttoys.net/stealthairbox5.jpg
go here:
http://www.fasttoys.net/9398fbodyframes.html
then click on "Air/Fuel" on the left side and scroll down 3 items
it is the high-flow air box assembly
it installed pretty easy, i've got no complaints.
and it seems sturdy.
i first ordered an MTI lid but returned it b/c i couldn't get it to fit right.
