I have an SLP bellow and it made absolutely NO difference other than a nicer look, lol. I'd steer clear for what they go for new. I got mine used from a buddy for free.

I ran the fernco on stock tb. I had to trim it down alittle but it worked pretty good. It didn't pop off on mine. Now I am running the 4in fernco on my 90/90 setup

I never had a problem with fernco popping off? And I am relatively hard on the trans am. Did you get a 3x3? or a 3x4.

All I did was heat up the fernco with a heat gun and slipped it right over the TB and my MTI lid.

agreed... my buddy just bought one too the 3 inch which is 76.xmm and its 6 bucks and change... heat it in warm water and strecth... it looks better than the stock piece, and may pick up 6 flywheel hp... maybe that much wheel if you have supporting mods... but that about a dollar a horse... how can you spend 60 plus... at a 10th of the price... its worth doing if you are looking a quick upgrade... and with it being rubber, it moves a little as the motor torques so it fits well...

as far as gains go... 6 bux for 6hp is a steal... especially when you get similar gains from porting tb... which is about 100-150 plus down time if you dont supply a core.

hp/dollar no better deal

A majority of the people in this thread are actually debating whether I was joking or not? The Smooth Bellow is an apearance mod. I'll make sure not to be as sarcastic on this site. The "is the smooth bellow worth any HP?" threads that get started on this site aren't even funny anymore.

Dude, you know the gains from a lid or Ram air kit are just a myth right?

ok, I swear that's the last one...

Sarcasm is hard to portray on the internet. You kind of stated it as fact, thus it was taken as one

BTW, I don't think the gains from a lid are a myth, looking at the stock piece it's hard to say that it flows as well as an aftermarket piece....unless you were being sarcastic

Well golly gee I sure hope so. Yes I know the gain are no where the "claims" SLP makes. Learned that lesson long ago. I'd say MAYBE 5 to 10 hp is there IF THAT. I just know my car ran 10x better with the ram kit but I was a little butt sore about it afterwards once I started seeing the debates on here about them

I have one that I cut down to fit my Fast Toy lid and a 90mm T- body. You have to look at the whole system it might help make a horse or two on a high hp car. Once you reach say 400-450hp each one after that is harder and harder to make.
