Default FAST 92mm or 102mm???

Well I was planning on going with a FAST 92mm combo, but I couldnt find the FAST 92mm intake on any of the sponsors web pages on this site. So just wondering is FAST 102mm the norm now? If so will this set up that I have in mind work fine: FTP 104mm lid, TSP 100mm MAF, FAST LSX 102MM TB, FAST LSX 102mm Intake? Also just wondering will I have any issues with fitment, and will I have to buy other parts for installation to go smooth?

102 is the norm now. It has a much better runner design than the 92. That combo is pretty much the standard setup when running it, there are a few MAF choices though. As far as fitment i believe you need to grind your waterpump just a little bit for the TB, you need different bolts for the valley cover, either buy the spacer kit for your LS1 fuel rail/injectors or buy an LS2 rail/LS2 injectors. Other than that just a 4 inch bellow to go from the TB to MAF and you will be good

The 92mm was discontinued when the 102mm intakes were released. You now have to purchase a fuel rail kit with the intake and TB combo now as the factory LS1 fuel rail doesn't work.

hitman does it make a difference if I have an LS6 valley cover?

and Jon is the fuel rail kit you are talking about the same kit that hitman is talking about?

You need the bolts regardless of valley.

You will need specific rails for the fast 102. Either the new design billet rails or ls2 rails. Imo, I would just get the new fast rails.

in all honesty i would rather have a ported fast 92 then a fast 102.the fast 102 is a POS compared to the fast 92 as far as fitment and craftsmanship goes.however, the fast 102 does produce TQ and HP...good luck with whichever you choose.STB

The only time I would recommend a 92 over a 102, which I still probably wouldn't.. is if it is a roll racing car where only HP mattered in high rpms. Anything else, a car thst sees some track time, auto x, weekend warrior, etc I would go with a 102.

current set up is built 346ci with H/C, looking into getting the intake set up now. Currently running MTI lid, with stock TB, stock MAF & ls6 intake. Plan on spraying 150shot later, will the 102mm be better?

The 102 was built specifically with a stock cube 346 in mind. Why do you think it replaced the older versions?
It is a better intake than either of the other two.

The 102mm will make great power on a H/C LS1. It is commonly said that you will lose low end power when putting that large on an intake on a 346 but this is an incorrect statement. We have seen engine dyno and chassis dyno data that shows solid gains through the whole powerband by putting the 102mm on there.

you can use a 92-96 mm 4 bolt TB on the fast 102mm intake.

Curious, any sheets showing the power difference from a stock intake to the 102?

to the OP, do you already have a tsp 100mm maf? or a lid?

i just recently picked up a 102 setup and im in need of a maf/lid from tsp. I wanted to call them to see if they would run a GP on their maf/lid combo...

i have an afr 205/g5x3 going in soon. so we have a similar setup besides me being an m6. wish you were an m6 so we could get a decent comparison.

are you having the heads milled?

Jon (tsp), interested in doing a GP on a maf/lid?

Ive seen a sheet of a stock LS1 with an LS6 intake that swapped to a 102. Even on the stock motor it made around 8 more rwhp throughout the curve.

Cool, thanks for the info. I'll never buy one, but I was curious about the difference.
