best shift points for bolt-on ls1?

+1. These aren't Honda Vtecs. Seems like 1/2 of this forum likes spinning their motors higher than they have to for no gains, or even running slower. These are fairly torquey motors, keep them in that range.

I just called them and had them do w/e they thought was the best shift point

I was running pretty consistant 8.47x passes in the 1/8th mile shifting at 6100. I bumped the shift point to 6200 and was running consistantly in the 8.54x. You have to keep it in your power band so you have the most average power for the entire run. Every car is different but with the stock cam you're making less power at 6100 than you're making at 5800. I know going above 6100 slows my car down.
