help slp lid fitment

Default help slp lid fitment

So I bought my SLP lid and it will not fit on my Damn maf which is stock. I need help ASAP cuz this is my DD and I need to drive it tomorrow to school

lowe's and home depot have rubber sewer pipe connectors that should solve issue.

take a heat gun heat up the neck on the lid until its pretty warm (not melting)...shove the maf into the the lid...they are supposed to fit very tight

be very careful cause you can ruin the lid with a heat gun...heat slow and evenly

Just use a hair dryer it wont get as hot as the heatgun. I had the same issue when I bought mine

I cut down the edges a bit with a box cutter then handed them then lubed it. No luck

Are you trying to put the lid on with the MAF still on the car?? If so, take the MAF off, put it in the lid, put the lid on, then put the acordian tube, or smooth bellow whichever your using on the MAF and boom your done!!

I got it two driers on high on either side for 10 mins then a hard and firm push onto the maf with the maf on the ground and pushing the lid down onto it.

I didn't have a heat gun but I did have a stove lol just crank it all the way up and hold it oh, id say 6 to 12 iches and just slow turn it. Once its warmed up just slowly put the maf in and twist it to slide all the way in.

Agree the hair blower is what I used lol,but to get it off to polish my maf I had to use a heat gun,getting it off was a lot harder than putting it on lol,good luck man,
