Are 4.10 gears normally loud?

I have gm gears that were put in by reputable gear shop and have never heard anything whine so bad. I need to change them out soon and not sure who to set them up. I can't take the noise anymore but love this gear.

my richmond 4:11 whine some but only for about 11 or 12 sec then it stops (end of the quarter mile, haha i know bad joke 
)
