Default Rasp, what can be done??

I have Pacesetter LT's,!Cats, Y-Pipe, 3inch manderal into a 1 in 2 out magnaflow, it is a lot raspier than my old LM setup and i was wondering if maybe there was a muffler that i could replace the magnaflow with or is there anything you guys have found to get the rasp down to keep the muscle sound clean.

I had a Dynomax bullet welded between the catback and the y pipe. It actually shrinks to 2.75 where the two connect so I cut it so that its 3 inch all the way through. The rasp is 95% gone. Sound really nice and I think getting rid of the reduction helped with flow.

You can also add one of these... Flowmaster dual 3" inlet to single 3.5" outlet y-collector... Helps out flow & reduced a ton of the rasp that I had.

like Bowtieman4life said, you can get some sort of small straight-through muffler to act as a baffle. a glass pack with a length of about 12'' should do the trick. we used to install thrush magnum glasspacks on imports to keep them from sounding like crap after their cats were removed.

either go to true duals and never worry about rasp or I've heard that adding a Borla XR-1 muffler to the I-pipe works really good. *I recommend duals*

Do the Dynomax bullets hurt flow any? I might have to get one for my Borla cat-back. The rasp on my car is very annoying between 2200 and 2900 rpm's. I even closed the one side up completely and it is just a muffled rasp now. Do the bullets make that much difference?

Listen, I have the EXACT same setup as you do, except I have a bullet installed just before the rear axle. Didnt help at all. Just made the whole system a tiny bit quieter. Like some have said here, I think the only way to have no rasp is to go to a true dual setup, which I still may do even after putting $600 into my current setup just a few months ago.

Currently I have Pacesetter Lts, Pacesetter O/R Y Pipe, Dynomax Race Bullet (18") where the I-Pipe was, and SLP loudmouth cat back parts all the way back. I'm getting sick of the sound, there is still some rasp there that bugs me. I'm gonna go true duals dumped I think. I'm gonna get the husker 3" Madrel bent Stainless Steel X-Pipe for $55.00 and a Set of the Flowmaster 1 Chamber Race Mufflers (Flowmaster part #9430109). Gonna see how that sounds.

How loud are true duels compared to a Borla with an open plate?

Just get a Hooker catback from autozone or from a sponser for 250bucks and be done with it, flows good, sounds good, and no rasp. Problem Solved.

The Borla XR1 has screen down the middle lengthwise that breaks up the sound waves and eliminates rasp.

Are you saying you're going to get an x - pipe for only $55? If so, where can I purchase one at?
