idle prob need help

Default idle prob need help

Alright guys I just installed a 95mm throttle body and intake and ever since then my idle won't go below 1200 and fluctuates between 1200-3500 iv changed the IAC sensor but still does the same thing..

Any info I would greatly appreciate it thanks

you need a new tune with that change.make sure you map sensor is sealed tight ,and all hose and fittings are connected to prevent a vacuum leak.

Drop idle air, new throttle will let more though at idle than the 78mm one.
(ie) It needs a tune obviously.

I am surprised to see this in this thread, much less twice...

The car worked fine on the stock throttle body, clearly this throttle body is just letting in too much airflow at it's base setting.

Really, you need to adjust the blade with a scanner at hot-idle watching IAC counts until it gets into the 45-80 range at hot idle. If no scan tool is available to view IAC counts, just close the blade's set screw further to limit the airflow coming in.

If it were a vette with an electronic throttle, it would need tuning. This just needs adjusting. The other possibility if the blade is fully closed is that a hose was missed/is cracked/there is a vacuum leak.
