Are Spintech mufflers any good?
There is a guy on craigslist selling a 131398..Camaro / Trans Am 98-02 3" Catback System by spintech for $85. It's not the whole catback. It's cut off at the I-pipe near the muffler but it has all the out tubing and duel/duel tips.
Will the remaining I-pipe attach to my factory piping and is this muffler system any good? Seems like a great price and don't want to miss it.

IMO, the Spintech crossflow mufflers do flow a lot better then the factory muffler and the FM 80 series, but a FM super 44 muffler flows/sounds better!
Here's another option you have:
If your just looking to replace the GM muffler with a better sounding/flowing muffler then cut of the muffler and replace it.
I'd put in a Magnaflow 4" or 5" case bullet muffler(or a FM super 44), and reuse the drivers side 90* bend , and install a turn-down, or better yet buy a 3" 90* bend and install a turndown. angle the 90* bend upwards to tuck the turndown from sight.

The price is right, so if nothing else you can sell it and get your money back!
Had one on my LT1 and loved the sound. It didn't seem to hurt it, although I have no track times or dyno to prove otherwise. Sounds somewhat like a flowmaster, but different if that makes sense. If I didn't already have a Hooker catback on mine now I'd probably get one of the single exit systems.
