I had one on my old setup and wasn't too fond of it. The fuel rail kind of rubbed the intake and any aluminum intake gets hotter than the polymer. Plus the bbk weighs a ton lol. I would spend a lil extra cash and get a used fast setup if your lucky enough to get your hands on one

not only that, there really isn't much, if any, performance gain over a LS6 intake. I would find a used fast intake in the "Parts Classifieds"

Considered the 96mm Typhoon intake? I read in another thread that you could do the 96/96 brand new for less than $600 shipped.

^ I've found that the Typhoon is only a solid performer on the FI setups.

^ I was looking at a PP Typhoon before I got my 102/102, but a lot more goes into an intake besides the TB size. But you're free to do with your car as you see fit. I'm not bashing.

But the BBK SSI is a good intake. The crowd here seems to be divided into thirds. FAST, LS6 and BBK SSI. And I think heat soak is an urban myth/legend here. The air is moving so fast, I don't think 2-3* of temp change is going to hurt anything.

I was going to get the bbk but the local tuner here said If I did he wouldnt even attempt to tune my car. He said hes tried to street tune several cars and evrything is fine till you sit at a light and take off again and evrything goes to ****. BTW the tuner is a sponser here if that holds any credibility.

i have the bbk, the only think i dont like is how heavy it is, also the bolts vibrate loose on the bottom pan if you dont loctite them. It did put the numbers in my sig with it.

The intake is a good unit. I had gains across the board. The BBK fuel rails fit mine fine with no rubbing. Not sure what kind the other guy had. The throttle body however I had tuning issues with. I'd probably recommend a Nick Williams TB. IMO the BBK is the best out there right under the FAST. But the FAST is soooo much money. So depends on how deep your pockets are. Will you be using Nitrous/FI?

Do a lot of searches and reading. The BBK does show gains across the RPM over an LS6. If you have an LS6, don't bother w/the BBK. If you have the $$$$, why not go FAST? It all depends on your needs and goals of your car. I will most likely go with the BBK for my goals with a differant TB. Though if the Warrior ever actually came to fruition, I would have most likely gone with it. Bigfoot and Lockness, where are you!? What an fn disappointment on the part of Holley. Can I get a,"What-What?"
