The airdam sits 4 inches off the ground on a stock f-body, the scoop on the SSRA sits 7.5 inches off the ground.
For people with ground clearance concerns, the SSRA can now be bought with just the top box if desired.
The SSRA is dimensionally larger and comes with the weatherstripping already installed. The SSRA seals the best. The weatherstripping seals the airfilter tray where the FRA mod is performed. See pics.
The LS1Tech sponsors LM Performance and Speed Inc will sell these top only SSRA for $129.
Of course full SSRA kits are still available from my great sponsors.

If yours gets knocked around PS.............you can't drive.
If you hit it in normal driving, your going to mess up the front end of your car too. That is how far back it sits. The only place I can think of that you would hit it, is pulling in too far into a parking spot. Just my 2 cents.

I had an SSRA on my car for about a week and I had ZERO problems with clearance...and my car was lowered about 1.5" too...
If you could see a car with the SSRA on it, you would see that you would have to be blind to run it into something!
