Hard start issue .. starter?
Hard start issue .. starter? I recently got a 87 Notchback Mustang with LS1 with cam and piston with 243 heads and ls6 intake manifold, I am not sure if all the starters are the same on ls1 /6 motors .. or maybe the piston has a little bit more compression... BUT heres the issue, it seems to start pretty well when cold, not super fast though. However when car is hot/up to temp it barley barley turned over... its not like its turning the motor over and its not firing im talking its not turning over at all... Curious what direction i should go here, cus race season is fast approching and i dont want to spend money that i dont have to... however i need the car to start when hot... My volt gauge reads 12v when key is on then hit starter and it goes down too 8 and my rpm gauge spins .. I just figured id have maybe this issue after car sat and was cold but didnt expect it when its up to temp to give me issues.. The battery in the car is an everlast max.. it says 700 cold start amps..
