Has anyone successfully run a 2004 Pontiac Montana 3.4 L power steering pulley GM part# 10166335 on a 98-02 F-body LS1? I know this may be a simple part but it has holes in it for easier access to the pump and is way cheaper @ local parts stores, under $20.

Your exactly right and im the last person to ask something before searching for 2 hours 1st, i did not find a definitive answer to my question, try it out for yourself, search "power steering pulley" in Gen III external engine or any of the categories for LSx.

Just adding this, if you run all stock LS1 accessories/pulleys (F-body) and use this 3.4L Montana steering pump pulley you will need a serpentine belt that's 78 inches long. Example being a Duralast belt Part # 780K6 (the 780 represents 78.0 inches 6 = 6 ribs) will work.

The stock pulley is plastic......drilled a hole in it! Also, how many times do you remove it? Worth the hassle of now having to remember a completely different belt length, nope not for me. Ive removed a bunch of power steering pumps and all i ever used was a ratcheting wrench and did a couple turns on each bolt switching back and forth a couple times and it was in my hands. Seems simple enough. The pulley doesnt have to be removed to remove the pump.
