LQ9. What PCV system to run.

Hello all,

I am finishing up the large parts of my LQ9 Into 92 e30 bmw. Its semi rebuilt (new rod and main bearings, and new rings) with stock 317 heads. The intake and accessories are all off an Fbody. My question is what would be the best and most cost effective PCV system. Im pretty much building the entire system so as of right now im on ground zero.

Ls6 PCV system, 2004+. Brian Tooley carries them for a good price.

Comes with the gasket too.

If you're not running an external catch can (which I would) you'd also need this for $3.50 and that's it....

Is that the one with the pcv valve built into the valley cover?

And if I were to run a catch can I would run it from the intake into can then out of can to valley cover?

Yes. Integrated PCV valve.

You'd run the line from the valley to the port on top of the can, and the port on the side of the can to the intake.

The line from the passenger valve cover still goes to the nipple on the TB. If your TB doesn't have a nipple, then you integrate it into the bellows in front of the TB.
