Ground straps on driver side head. Did I mess up?
Ground straps on driver side head. Did I mess up? I have an iron block with a Magnacharger I just put in my TA. When I was bolting everything on, I bolted the ground straps to the block instead of the head. I don't see why this would cause a problem, but I'm trying to figure out why it won't start. Just turns over and doesn't even try to fire. I haven't checked for spark yet, due to lack of time. I do know it has fuel pressure at the rail. Not sure if the injectors are pulsing.
I figured that would be the 1st two questions. Car isn't at my house and no time to go check at the moment. I'm brainstorming and that's why I was wondering if grounding to the block instead of the head could be a potential issue.
It shouldnt be a problem. My buddies got a magnacharged silverado, and his grounds were attached to the top trans bolt stud with no issues. Id start by checking to make sure your fuses are good.
Also, do you hear the fuel pump come on when you turn the key?

I don't remember hearing the pump, but I did check the shrader valve and had pressure at the rail. I plan to work on it tomorrow and I'll pay more attention to it.
