Would a gutted Hooker exhaust sound bad?

Default Would a gutted Hooker exhaust sound bad?
I am finally taking it to a muffler shop worth a **** and I was thinking about having him gut my hooker exhaust muffler that I have.

Anyone heard one of these? Anyone know if it would start back firing?

I did a search and checked ls1sounds.com and couldn't find it.

I am curious as well, I have read of a couple people doing this, but they had no videos.
