ouch to what? he doesn't own the kooks/arh he's recommending or the ebay ones he's advising against, at least I have experience to speak from with one of the sets

I understand where you're coming from silver, I think we drive our cars the same and I've had a set of hookers rust out on me also. I'll take a tiny bit less power for the huge difference in price. I went ahead removed the EGR/AIR bungs also just because they're about the only I would worry about failing (only because they're a common failure point among other brands of headers) and I don't expect to ever have to repair them, but if I ever do oh well

yes kooks are better, but I'm sure a ton of people on here would be just as happy with $600 extra in their pockets on ebay headers as with kooks. you have a point, it is valid, I'm just saying ebay headers are not complete crap if you're on a budget instead of the simple "you get what you pay for" line that scares people out of great deals on parts that are plenty good for what they use their cars for

I buy a lot of things from ebay also and am happy with what I have purchased. I bought a set of drilled and slotted rotors from a guy in calif. about 2 years ago for $120 Shipped and they are still great. So " ya get what ya pay for " doesn't always hold up. I said ouch because I believe this is a Friendly fourm it's not good when we start bitching each other out, thats all i meant by it.

Wow... the dick measuring around here never ends. Grow the **** up.

OP: To answer your question, yes, there are the cat delete options as outlined above; also Mufflex makes a pair of delete pipes as well: http://www.mufflex-performance.com/fbody_8.html

I had to search the "parts for sale" archives to find a pair of the Mufflex units, and paid half of what they go for new. The advantage for me is that I can swap the cats out and do lean cruise tuning without risking damage to them; and when emissions time comes about again... it is another few minutes to switch back.

For us long tubes, while well priced (ebay/pacesetter/etc), involved more money and time to install. Plus ground clearance is at a premium in my wife's car (stupid low) and banging and scraping usually gets me an earful. Not worth it.

I don't think anything unfriendly went on, we had a discussion and shared our opinions. I'm glad someone pointed out the other side of it so any future readers can hear both sides of the debate. Ebay headers are not for everyone so his opinions will benefit some, and mine will benefit others.

thought discussions were what forums were for, oh well

sorry to sidetrack your thread OP

Mufflex makes cat bypass tubes. Some vendors used
to sell them but nowadays you can get long tubes and
ORY off eBay for about the same, or less dough.
