Well got the car back from getting the motor installed, and now im in the process of getting everything else hooked up.. i have this wire laying here that i didn't take off so i have no idea where it goes... Through searching pictures i have narrowed it down but still havent pin pointed where it goes..

It looks like the wire that connects to the block down by the starter, I believe it is routed along with the starter wires. Their is a bolt hold in the side of the block that it bolts to.

Looks like it could be the engine block ground wire...

I just swapped my engine, and pulled my wife's and that cable doesn't look familiar. The cable that goes to the alternator is red. Is the starter hooked up? The only place I could think of that cable would be used is the starter or block ground, but even then, I believe both those terminate into the battery cable. The engine block ground on the drivers side is a flat copper strap, well atleast on our 00 and 01 it is.
