Default cutouts behind headers

hey guys i got 1999 camaro shafiroff 383 ls1 running thru a factory slp muffler with kooks headers off road pipe putting 2 cutouts wondering what i can expect as a gain with them open

You can run our Low Profile Oval Cutout on your y pipe. But there is not much of a gain when running 2 vs 1 on the intermediate pipe. The only time the difference would be great is when the Y pipe has a less than favor merge. With a Kooks y pipe you will not have that problem.

I have my cut outs right behind the headers. Seemed to me to be the best place for them for racing. Plus it makes it so loud right underneight you. lol

I've seen dyno results where you actually lose some power with dual cutouts. This was on a heads/big cam setup

Maybe someone else can chime in

I saw a 7 hp gain and only have one cutout located after the pipes coming from the longtube headers merge somewhere under the passenger seat.

you loose power on the dyno but you get it back at the track...
